Picture Day is tomorrow 9/18
Our Band Booster Meeting is tonight 9/17 at 6:30 at the high school.
Band Boosters are a group of band parents that discuss ways we can assist our band program. We fundraise, go through the schedule, and donate to events for our students. Please join us, all 6-12th grade parents are welcome and we are in need of more members. 6th grade families, Instruments from Meyer Music should arrive throughout the week. They are scheduled for this coming Thursday but I will see if I can pick them up earlier maybe by Mon-Tues evening. If you ordered online, they will arrive later in the week. Percussion auditions are Mon-Tues for 6th graders, results on Wednesday. On Wednesday September 25th at 6:30pm in the SHS bandroom there is an optional information night for our 2025 Nashville TN trip (offered to HS members Fall 2025). We will cover all questions regarding payments, review itinerary, and accept more members who want to sign up. This is not mandatory but will hopefully cover any questions you have about payments and procedures. There will be a bulleted letter covering everything and it will be added to Nashville Band App that night. No performances this week! Morning jazz rehearsals for our jazz members are only Tuesday-Wednesday, the rest is covered in jazz class. Looking forward to a great week with amazing students!

It was a great first week at SMS! Started the year with a fun ROAR assembly and many team building and community building activities! It is going to be a great year 🐾🐅

Busses are getting a little late start leaving school this afternoon. They are running about 20-25 minutes behind dropping off school.
Just a reminder that we are closed for Labor Day and Tuesday will be the first day of school, a half day! We can't wait to see you all!
