We also took time to celebrate a special milestone as we honored our 8th-grade students who are preparing to begin their next chapter at Shelby High School. While it is bittersweet to see them leave our halls, we are excited to watch them continue to grow, succeed, and represent Shelby Tiger Pride as future freshmen.
If you were unable to attend the Awards Assembly, we invite you to enjoy our 8th Grade Tribute Video and join us in celebrating the memories, friendships, and accomplishments of the Class of 2030.

We are proud of our elementary and middle school teachers and their continued commitment to student success, growth, and learning. 💜🐯

Despite the chilly spring weather, these students dedicated several hours to making a positive difference and helping keep our community beautiful. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to service are something to be proud of.
After their efforts were complete, the group gathered together to warm up and enjoy some hot pizza as a well-earned reward.
We are proud of our Student Council members for representing Shelby Middle School through leadership, service, and community pride!

Our 6th grade students recently finished reading The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba, an inspiring true story about determination, creativity, and the power of education.
To celebrate completing the book, students enjoyed a class celebration yesterday while watching the movie version of the story! It was a great opportunity for them to compare the book to the film and see how William’s incredible journey came to life on screen.
Throughout this unit, students explored themes of perseverance, problem-solving, and innovation, and learned how one young person’s idea helped bring electricity and hope to his village.
Great job to our 6th graders for their thoughtful discussions and hard work during this unit! 👏📖

Oceana County Parents – Did You Know?
Shelby Adolescent Health Center (SAHC) is located right inside Shelby Middle School, and it’s a great way to help your student stay healthy — and stay in attendance!
If your child isn’t feeling well during the school day, we can pull them from class to see a licensed medical professional, so you don’t always have to leave work or schedule an outside appointment.
Keeping students healthy means keeping them in school.
This is a great way to prevent absences and get your child back to class quickly and safely.
