Please review the important changes below, including the new online system and work-hour requirements for minors.

Today, Shelby Middle School proudly celebrated the remarkable career of Mrs. Jeanne Newman, whose dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to students have made a lasting impact on our school community.
After decades of service in education, Mrs. Newman will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year. Throughout her career, she has touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues through her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to helping others succeed.
Mrs. Newman has been a valued member of the Shelby Middle School family, consistently demonstrating care, patience, and a commitment to excellence. Her influence extends far beyond the classroom, leaving a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Our K–8 educators spent two powerful days learning together at the Solution Tree RTI at Work workshop, strengthening their skills and collaboration to help ensure every student gets the best support they need to thrive.

Despite the chilly spring weather, these students dedicated several hours to making a positive difference and helping keep our community beautiful. Their hard work, teamwork, and commitment to service are something to be proud of.
After their efforts were complete, the group gathered together to warm up and enjoy some hot pizza as a well-earned reward.
