I was born and raised in Muskegon. I have worked many years as a Math Tutor and Math Interventionist both privately and at various schools including Shelby. I graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School in 2008. I then attended Muskegon Community College and received my Associate’s Degree in Science and Arts and then went on to Grand Valley State University where I received my Bachelor’s in Science majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I started teaching at Shelby Middle School in 2017 as a 7th grade Math and Science Teacher part-time and in the fall of 2018 I began teaching full time as the 8th grade Pre-Algebra and 8th-grade Algebra teacher.
