I grew up in Hillsdale Michigan and completed my bachelor's degree at Central Michigan University.  I have a degree in Special Education k-12, General Education K-8 with highly qualified in Language Arts and Social Studies.  My Master's degree is from Marygrove College in Detroit.

Living in Shelby and raising my family here was a wonderful choice.  Most of my teaching has been done at the middle school but one semester was spent at Shelby High School and two years at Thomas Read Elementary. I began my teaching career in 1995 and am currently the Language Arts teacher in 7th grade.
